Farmers euthanizing chickens they can't sell during COVID outbreak

2-million chickens in Delaware and Maryland are being killed because chicken processing plants are short-staffed.

2-million chickens in Delaware and Maryland are being killed because chicken processing plants are short-staffed. 

Farmers say with not enough people to process the chickens because of COVID-19, they are being forced to euthanize their stock.

The Delmarva Poultry Industry says it investigated several options, and could not find a better solution.
