AUSTRALIA– The actress who played the youngest “Brady” on the 70s sitcom “The Brady Bunch” is opening up about life on the set.

In an interview with an Australian website, Susan Olsen, who played ‘Cindy Brady,’ talked about the crushes the Brady kids had on each other.

“We led a sheltered life for part of the year so if there was anybody to get a crush on or try to date, it would be our counterparts,” Olsen said. “So I had Mike Lookinland (Bobby Brady) and we used to make out in the doghouse when we were nine.”

“Eve (Plumb, played Jan Brady) always had a crush on Chris (Knight, played Peter Brady), they did kind of hook up later on,” Olsen continued. “And of course there was Maureen (McCormick, played Marcia Brady) and Barry (Williams, played Greg Brady), but Barry really wanted to hook up with Florence (Henderson, played Carol Brady), but Florence kept that very platonic.”

Olsen also revealed that Plumb and McCormick do not get along in real life.

“I think it’s kind of petty,” she said. “From day one with these two I have always been in the middle and now it’s at the point where there isn’t even a desire to communicate through me.”

Olsen also talked about her post-Brady time as a “drug dealer.” She said she and her ex-husband grew marijuana hydroponically.

“I have never really enjoyed smoking it, it makes me very paranoid. But it was my husband’s idea,” Olsen said. “It was really fascinating and I’ve always been into ‘gardening’ and it’s such a complicated, wonderfully fascinating plant.”

Olsen also explained that the cast made very little money on the show and even had to pay for their own parking in season one.

Olsen will appear at the upcoming SUPANOVA Pop Culture Expo in Australia.
