A history professor is still making a difference at St. Ambrose University, nearly 50 years after her death.
Ambrose received a $2.5-million donation on September 30, 2020, from John Butler and Holly E. Herman.
It's in honor of Agnes Renner.
Renner taught history at St. Ambrose for 25 years. She died in the early 1970s. John says he was inspired by Renner's teaching and remembers how she brought history to life.
