Number of bullets go into Rock Island home

Police investigated a scary scene late Tuesday, July 14th.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — A homeowner pointed out five bullet holes in the side of his house Tuesday night, July 14th.

It happened at about 10:30 p.m. near 31st Street and 15th Avenue, startling several neighbors.

Investigators were able to recover three bullets from inside the home and several shell casings outside. Nobody was hurt.

"I heard pow pow pow pow pow... five random shots," neighbor and Rock Island County Board Member Ed Langdon said. "So I got up and ran to the front door, and my wife told me, 'what are you doing? What are you doing? Well you`re gonna get shot!'" 

Police are investigating security camera footage of the incident.
