Fourth person injured in deadly Coralville shooting on Christmas

Police say one person was fatally shot and two others wounded during a Christmas night shooting in the Iowa City suburb.

CORALVILLE, Iowa -- Another person has been linked to the Coralville shooting on Christmas Day, bringing the total of injured people to four.

Around 9:30 p.m. on December 25 gunfire was reported in the 900 block of Boston Way, according to a statement from the Coralville Police Department.  On scene, officers found that three adults had been shot; all three were taken to the hospital, where one person, 30-year-old Gregory Jackson, later died.

Jackson, who was from Iowa City, was shot in the torso; his death has been ruled a homicide, according to police.

The fourth person showed up at the hospital later with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police said everyone involved knew each other "and this was not a random attack."  There have been no arrests made.
