A week after a pregnant woman had her fetus cut from the womb while answering a Craigslist ad, her family confirmed she has been released from the hospital.

Michelle Wilkins was seven months pregnant when she went to a house to buy baby clothes from an ad she found on Craigslist on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Wilkins was hospitalized and underwent surgery.

Updating her recovery status, on Wednesday, March 25, Wilkins’ family said on a GoFundMe page that was established that she was “out of the hospital and in a safe place.”

In just four days, the fundraiser page collected more than $54,000 to help Wilkins.

Police said the suspect, 34-year-old Dynel Lane, went to a nearby hospital with the baby claiming that she had a miscarriage, according to a report by KDVR. The baby did not survive.

Lane was arrested on several felony charges including attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and child abuse knowingly/reckless resulting in death, online jail records show.
