ComEd says they have received numerous scam complaints since the start of the coronavirus outbreak.
They say the scam is a phone call where the scammers will pretend to be ComEd asking for payment.
ComEd says they will never come to your home for payment or ask for personal information.
They also say they will never call and ask for social security numbers or account info. They do not ask for payment through prepaid cards.
