Many people turning to social media to document daily quarantine life

Social media has transformed into a space of unity during the coronavirus crisis.

OHIO, USA — A stay-at-home order announced by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine is now in effect across the state, and many of us are turning to social media to relieve some stress, get advice on avoiding boredom and to just have some plan ole fun.

Some popular hashtags on social media are variations of #StayAtHome and #QuarantineLife.

Some social media users are taking to Facebook asking followers to snap photos of what is in front of them as a symbol of unity in this time where we all asked to stay at home. So make sure your at home selfie is ready to go!

Some folks are even documenting each and every day of quarantine life. Whether they are finishing an at home project, working out online, taking virtual field trips, reading a book or working on an arts and crafts project with the kids, social media is the place to be.

Musicians and artists are also sharing their talents on social media in hopes to lift people´s spirit up and to spread some cheer. Whether it's a gospel song or some lyrics that will make you laugh, social media is helping to keep our community connected in a time we are asked to be apart.
