Red wine pours from faucets in Italy town due to malfunction

A malfunction at a winery in northern Italy may have been seen as a benefit to some residents.

CASTELVETRO, Province of Sondrio — A malfunction at a winery in northern Italy may have been seen as a benefit to some residents.

On Wednesday, March 4, faucets in the town of Castelvetro ran red with wine for a few hours.  CNN reports that 1,000 liters of wine that was ready for bottling, instead leaked into the water pipes of about 20 homes.

Local government officials said there was no health risk to residents.
