BREAKFAST WITH… Quad City College Leaders and the QCCollege.com Campaign

You might think they’re competitors, but our area colleges are collaborating more than you might think.

On Thursday, May 9th, we had “Breakfast With…” the Presidents and Chancellors of Augustana College, St. Ambrose University, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, Black Hawk College, Palmer College of Chiropractic, and Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences. All of those institutions, plus Western Illinois University Quad Cities, are part of a campaign called QCColleges.com. Here’s what the initiative is all about:

The QCColleges.com Campaign is connected to the "Make It Here" Campaign. Both are initiatives of the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce and the Q2030 Regional Action Plan. Not only do these seven educational institutions set up the next generation of our workforce for success, but the local economic impact of these schools in the Quad Cities is estimated to be nearly $406 million.

After Good Morning Quad Cities (see clips below), we sat down with most of these leaders to dig deeper into how we keep graduates in the Quad Cities and why that is critical to our area's success:

During Good Morning Quad Cities, we sat down individually with the Presidents of St. Ambrose University and Augustana College, as well as the Chancellors of Eastern Iowa Community Colleges and the Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
