LONG GROVE, Iowa — The date of this is event is TBD

StormTrack 8 Meteorologist Andrew Stutzke has his work cut out for him. He's making his way through a 6-acre corn maze presented by "Pride of the Wapsi" in Long Grove, Iowa.

During his trek, co-anchors Jon Ketz and Angie Sharp will be speaking with him through an earpiece, directing him turn-by-turn and "helping" him navigate the maze.  He'll be at the mercy of a map and their advice.

But the question is, will their guidance be a trick or a treat?

Andrew's trek was originally set to begin at 9 a.m., Thursday Oct. 7, but was postponed due to rain.

The 2021 version of the Pride of the Wapsi's corn maze is a tribute to the 20th anniversary of 9/11

Pride of the Wapsi owners, Pat Dierickx and Lora Dierickx, have been planting corn mazes for nearly two decades. In 2018 their maze gave a nod to the former StormTrack 8 weather logo, which was planted using technology that made the whole process more efficient.

Pat explained that the technology they used that year placed seeds in a specific pattern, absolving the need to cut or shape as it grew, and saved the risk of wasting seeds in the process.
