YOUR MONEY with Mark: The two biggest risks to your portfolio

What’s the stock market outlook for 2020?

MOLINE, Illinois-- What's the stock market outlook for 2020?

Investment adviser Mark Grywacheski joined us Monday, Jan. 13 to talk about it.

Throughout 2019, our economic outlook started to change from negative to positive. Gywacheski says the stock market should start to rebound, much like the economy. He says the two biggest risks to the market are the trade dispute with China and the uncertainty of the 2020 election.

"Will it remain President Trump, or if not, which of those democratic candidates will be running the U.S. economy?" Grywacheski asked Monday morning.

The S&P 500, Dow, and Nasdaq started off well. Just after 9:15 a.m. Monday, the Dow was up eight points. The Dow was up 29. The Nasdaq was up more than 37.

Your Money with Mark airs every Monday between 5 and 5:30 a.m. on Good Morning Quad Cities.
