DAVENPORT, Iowa—
LATEST UPDATE: Davenport police say the item retreived by the Quad City Bomb Squad is not explosive or hazardous. Police say it was a piece of fiberglass tubing wrapped in duct tape with aluminum foil at the ends.UPDATE: Police have reopened the intersection of 3rd and Harrison Streets in downtown Davenport. The bomb squad used a robot to retrieve the possible pipe bomb. The squad then took the object away from the scene to be investigated further.

EARLIER STORY: WQAD has learned the bomb squad is investigating an apparent pipe bomb near 300 Block of Harrison Street in Downtown Davenport.
Police do have the intersection of 3rd Street and Harrison blocked off.
The bomb squad's robot is being used at this moment to retrieve the object.
