DAVENPORT, Iowa - Dozens of small planes flew high at Davenport's Municipal Airport Saturday, giving many Quad City area kids their first chance to fly in an experimental aircraft.

It was part of the EAA's Young Eagles program , which gives kids between 8-17 years old a chance to fly in a general aviation airplane. Many of the pilots say the looks on a child's face makes the day worth while.

"We really enjoy it with the kids, they all vary, each one is a little different, everyone of them. I've never seen one that really didn't get a kick out of it and enjoy it" says pilot Keith Williams.

The kids will have their names added to the Young Eagles logbook with the date and type of plane they flew in on their adventure. The logbook is available online. To see it, click here.
