LOWDEN, Iowa - Fire crews were called to Lowden, in Cedar County, Saturday after reports of the old Trinity Lutheran School was on fire.

The Fire Department tells KCRG, the ABC station in Cedar Rapids, that the fire started around 9:30pm. KCRG also reports the building was built in 1920 and used as a parochial school until 1983. It's believed it currently housed apartments.

A viewer captured photos of the fire - which shows orange glowing flames flying out the second story windows.

We'll bring you the latest on Saturday night's fire on WQAD.com and Sunday on News 8 at 5:30pm and 10pm.
