DAVENPORT, Iowa -
Finally, we have positive news when to report on the economy. The owners at West Kimberly Mall in Davenport say their business is doing extremely well and the year isn't over yet. "Right now, we're at 19% more than last years sales," says owner Jan Stineman. "It's because the items are cheaper. We even have quarter items."
About 80 vendors are spread throughout their building at 4004 W. Kimberly Road. You can find everything from kids toys to vintage clothing to furniture. Some of their items are from local sellers here in the Quad Cities.
'Le Familee Affare' Owner Deanna Williams is also reporting strong sales. In addition to her regular booth, she just opened a restaurant inside the West Kimberly Mall. "We don't have a lot of overhead and it's something we want to do to take care of our vendors and the shoppers," says Deanna.
West Kimberly Mall is ran by three employees and is open Wednesday Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 11-4.
