The price of gold continues to climb, and that has pushed many people into the hobby of coin collecting.

The Quad City Coin Club held it's annual coin show Sunday at the Milan Community Center.

Dozens of people came out to have their items appraised and look for some good deals. With the introduction of some redesigned coins, it is a growing trend.

John Brixey says: "We're getting younger people that start with Washington quarters, with the state quarters. The President dollars are bringing more of the younger people in so it is still growing."

Some of the coins are worth thousands of dollars, and even one hundred thousand dollars, especially those that date back to the 17 and 18 hundreds.
