DAVENPORT, Iowa -
Most of the races in Davenport and Bettendorf elections Tuesday are already decided, as few of the races are contested.
No one is running against current Davenport mayor Bill Gluba or Bettendorf mayor Mike Freemire.
Most of the current aldermen and women are also set for another term. Davenport's Alderman-at-Large seat is a contested race, with four candidates running, including former alderman keith meyer.
While the races might not attract much attention, new electronic poll books are proving to be quite a draw.
"Typically, at the end of the election, we have to go through every voter, go into a computer system, and get the voter's history. this, we will take out a disc at the end of the election, pop it in our main computer, and populate instantly all of the voters" says Ccott County auditor Roxanna Moritz.
Election officials in Scott County say they hope to have the system in all precincts in time for the next presidential election in 2012.
