HENRY COUNTY, Ill.—
Illinois State Police say Dana S. Hewett III, 39, of Olathe, Kansas died Tuesday after losing control of his 1990 Chevrolet SUV, causing the vehicle to roll over. The crash happened around 1:00am Tuesday morning near the Annawan exit on Interstate 80 in Henry County, Illinois.

Police say Hewett was not wearing a seatbelt, and was thrown from the SUV as it crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Henry County Coroner Dave Johnson.

Police say it's possible that alcohol was a factor to the crash, but toxicology results are needed before a final determination can be made.

The Henry County Sheriff's Department and Annawan Fire Department provided assistance at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
