CHICAGO (AP) — Two counties in far northwestern Illinois are eligible for disaster loans after summer storms.
The U.S. Small Business Administration announced Monday that Jo Daviess and Stephenson counties are to receive the loans after severe storms, hail, high winds, tornadoes and heavy rains in July that also hit areas in Wisconsin.
According to the agency, the loans are available to eligible small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and private nonprofit groups. Those eligible could qualify for loans up to $2 million at 4 percent interest rates for 30 years.
