Jeremy Goodale's trial moved to Scott County

Goodale is facing a first-degree murder charge for the murder of Fairfield Spanish teacher Nohema Graber last November.

SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa — A judge has granted a change of venue request for one of the teenagers accused of killing Fairfield Spanish teacher Nohema Graber last November.

Jeremy Goodale's attorneys claimed he could not get a fair trial in Jefferson County. They wrote that's due to extensive media coverage and publicity.

The trial has been moved from Jefferson County in the Eighth Judicial District to Scott County in the Seventh Judicial District.

District Judge Shawn Showers will preside over the case

Willard Miller, the second teenager accused in Graber's death, also asked the court for a change of venue. A judge granted that request in May. Miller's trial is now set to take place in Pottawattamie County.

Goodale and Miller are each facing a first-degree murder charge.
